MACAO, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- The Composite Consumer Prices Index (CPI) in Macao increased 1.69 percent year-on-year to 110.51 in November, the Special Administrative Region's (SAR) statistics department said on Friday.

The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) issued an latest report, saying that the increase, higher than a 1.54-percent growth in October, was attributable to rising charges for eating out and outpatient services, higher parking meter rates and tuition fees, as well as dearer prices of adults' footwear and gasoline.

Among the various sections of goods and services, price indices of Education, Health and Transport grew by 4.25 percent, 3.82 percent and 3.77 percent respectively year-on-year. Meanwhile, price index of communication dropped by 5.39 percent.

For the 12 months ending in November 2017, the average Composite CPI went up 1.18 percent from the previous period, with notable increases in the price indices of education (6.59 percent) and health (4.38 percent). Meanwhile, price index of communication dropped 4.39 percent.
