Urgent: 5.1-magnitude quake hits Off Coast of Central Chile

NEW YORK, April 18 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted Off Coast of Central Chile at 2025-04-18 16:50:05 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 38.52 degrees south latitude and 74.20 degrees west longitude. ■
